Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Sports and Leasing & Factoring sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ayen Enerji AS (IS:AYEN), which rose 3.44% or 0.150 points to trade at 4.510 at the close. Meanwhile, Nurol Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:NUGYO) added 2.56% or 0.120 points to end at 4.800 and Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO) was up 1.68% or 0.050 points to 3.020 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL), which fell 8.68% or 1.83 points to trade at 19.25 at the close. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) declined 6.32% or 0.180 points to end at 2.670 and Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) was down 4.65% or 1.48 points to 30.32.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 257 to 86 and 64 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.58% or 20.11 to $1255.79 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.47% or 0.21 to hit $44.52 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.19% or 0.09 to trade at $46.91 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.80% to 3.5156, while EUR/TRY rose 0.22% to 3.9219.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 97.47.
