Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Transport, Banking and Information Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Hurriyet Gzt. (IS:HURGZ), which rose 1.85% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.540 at the close. Meanwhile, Soda Sanayii (IS:SODA) added 1.74% or 0.080 points to end at 4.690 and Metro Holding (IS:METRO) was up 1.59% or 0.010 points to 0.630 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which fell 4.17% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.230 at the close. Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) declined 3.24% or 0.35 points to end at 10.45 and T.S.K.B. (IS:TSKB) was down 2.76% or 0.040 points to 1.410.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 254 to 141 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Hurriyet Gzt. (IS:HURGZ) rose to 5-year lows; up 1.85% or 0.010 to 0.540. Shares in T.S.K.B. (IS:TSKB) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.76% or 0.040 to 1.410.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.47% or 5.20 to $1104.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.98% or 0.91 to hit $45.01 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.26% or 0.61 to trade at $48.27 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.89% to 3.0492, while EUR/TRY rose 1.41% to 3.4573.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 95.23.
