Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Information Technology, Transport and Sports sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gsd Holding (IS:GSDHO), which rose 14.15% or 0.150 points to trade at 1.210 at the close. Meanwhile, Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) added 4.55% or 0.010 points to end at 0.230 and Coca Cola Icecek (IS:CCOLA) was up 4.15% or 1.40 points to 35.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS), which fell 3.96% or 0.45 points to trade at 10.90 at the close. Sasa Polyester (IS:SASA) declined 3.70% or 0.090 points to end at 2.340 and Vestel Beyaz Esya (IS:VESBE) was down 3.07% or 0.350 points to 11.050.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 257 to 140 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.77% or 8.70 to $1131.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 5.73% or 2.44 to hit $45.00 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 5.14% or 2.44 to trade at $50.01 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.49% to 2.9236, while EUR/TRY fell 0.14% to 3.2675.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.53% at 96.25.
