Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Banking and Textile & Leather sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE), which rose 4.41% or 0.130 points to trade at 3.080 at the close. Meanwhile, Ayen Enerji AS (IS:AYEN) added 4.27% or 0.180 points to end at 4.400 and Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) was up 3.63% or 0.41 points to 11.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY), which fell 3.74% or 1.10 points to trade at 28.30 at the close. Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) declined 2.50% or 0.040 points to end at 1.560 and Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) was down 2.44% or 0.010 points to 0.400.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 178 to 156 and 75 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.78% or 9.83 to $1266.23 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.04% or 0.51 to hit $49.41 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.70% or 0.36 to trade at $51.82 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.32% to 3.5782, while EUR/TRY fell 0.16% to 3.9970.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 97.39.
