Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Banking and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.80%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD), which rose 5.10% or 0.240 points to trade at 4.950 at the close. Meanwhile, Metro Holding (IS:METRO) added 4.40% or 0.040 points to end at 0.950 and Arcelik (IS:ARCLK) was up 4.24% or 0.60 points to 14.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ulker Biskuvi (IS:ULKER), which fell 3.14% or 0.65 points to trade at 20.05 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) declined 2.56% or 0.080 points to end at 3.040 and T.S.K.B. (IS:TSKB) was down 1.93% or 0.040 points to 2.030.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 262 to 144 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD) rose to all time highs; gaining 5.10% or 0.240 to 4.950.
Gold for June delivery was up 0.50% or 5.90 to $1188.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.05% or 0.62 to hit $59.56 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.13% or 0.09 to trade at $65.62 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.34% to 2.6942, while EUR/TRY rose 0.05% to 3.0277.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 94.71.
