Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Textile & Leather sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.36%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL), which rose 5.46% or 0.73 points to trade at 14.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) added 4.63% or 0.050 points to end at 1.130 and Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL) was up 4.54% or 0.320 points to 7.370 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vakif Gmyo (IS:VKGYO), which fell 3.43% or 0.080 points to trade at 2.250 at the close. Celebi (IS:CLEBI) declined 2.41% or 0.52 points to end at 21.08 and Metro Holding (IS:METRO) was down 1.64% or 0.010 points to 0.600.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 231 to 101 and 75 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.39% or 5.15 to $1322.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.99% or 1.29 to hit $44.45 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 2.99% or 1.36 to trade at $46.81 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.28% to 2.9543, while EUR/TRY fell 0.66% to 3.2954.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.27% at 95.92.
