Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Transport, Basic Metals and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.77%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD), which rose 8.55% or 0.490 points to trade at 6.220 at the close. Meanwhile, Ford Otosan (IS:FROTO) added 3.85% or 1.35 points to end at 36.45 and Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret D (IS:KRDMD) was up 3.77% or 0.060 points to 1.650 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY), which fell 8.13% or 2.35 points to trade at 26.55 at the close. Menderes Tekstil (IS:MNDRS) declined 3.51% or 0.020 points to end at 0.550 and Metro Holding (IS:METRO) was down 3.16% or 0.030 points to 0.920.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 213 to 193 and 10 ended unchanged.

Gold for August delivery was down 0.03% or 0.30 to $1187.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.21% or 0.12 to hit $57.91 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.44% or 0.92 to trade at $62.80 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.16% to 2.6459, while EUR/TRY rose 0.23% to 2.8803.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 97.49.
