Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Real Estate Investments, Transport and Tourism sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.45% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tekfen Holding (IS:TKFEN), which rose 4.35% or 0.20 points to trade at 4.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Coca Cola Icecek (IS:CCOLA) added 4.28% or 1.50 points to end at 36.54 and Emlak Konut Gmyo (IS:EKGYO) was up 4.18% or 0.110 points to 2.740 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Carrefoursa Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA), which fell 4.13% or 2.20 points to trade at 51.05 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) declined 4.07% or 0.050 points to end at 1.180 and Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) was down 4.03% or 0.050 points to 1.190.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 177 to 168 and 66 ended unchanged.
Gold for April delivery was down 1.07% or 13.60 to $1259.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 2.06% or 0.78 to hit $38.62 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.82% or 0.33 to trade at $40.38 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.78% to 2.8696, while EUR/TRY fell 0.82% to 3.2077.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 96.04.
