Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Energy & Utilities and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 0.58% to hit a new 5-year low.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were BURUJ COOPERATIVE INSURANCE CO (SE:8270), which rose 9.89% or 1.30 points to trade at 14.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Halwani Bros (SE:6001) added 6.32% or 3.00 points to end at 50.50 and AL-BABTAIN POWER &TELECOM CO (SE:2320) was up 5.94% or 1.15 points to 20.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair Company (SE:4240), which fell 7.92% or 2.40 points to trade at 27.90 at the close. Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (SE:8180) declined 7.57% or 2.40 points to end at 29.30 and Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8050) was down 6.38% or 0.60 points to 8.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 87 to 64 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair Company (SE:4240) fell to 5-year lows; falling 7.92% or 2.40 to 27.90.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.29% or 0.14 to $48.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.22% or 0.11 to hit $50.30 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.10% or 1.35 to trade at $1315.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.11% to 4.2125, while USD/SAR rose 0.03% to 3.7524.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 95.53.
