Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Hotels & Tourism, Media & Publishing and Industrial Investment sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al Alamiya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8280), which rose 8.79% or 2.00 points to trade at 24.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Al-Jouf Agriculture Development Co (SE:6070) added 7.79% or 2.50 points to end at 34.60 and Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070) was up 6.79% or 1.90 points to 29.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Abdullah Al Othaim Markets Company (SE:4001), which fell 3.65% or 3.50 points to trade at 92.50 at the close. Bupa Arabia for Coop. Insurance (SE:8210) declined 3.50% or 5.00 points to end at 138.00 and Saudi Company for Hardware (SE:4008) was down 2.70% or 2.25 points to 81.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 73 to 72 and 24 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.96% or 0.48 to $50.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.98% or 0.52 to hit $53.52 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.11% or 1.35 to trade at $1176.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.11% to 4.0367, while USD/SAR fell 0.02% to 3.7500.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 100.20.
