Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Agriculture & Food, Telecoms & IT and Petrochemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Methanol Chemicals Company (SE:2001), which rose 8.93% or 0.50 points to trade at 6.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Al Sorayai Trading&Industrial Group (SE:1213) added 5.78% or 0.65 points to end at 11.90 and Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8050) was up 5.51% or 0.65 points to 12.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8310), which fell 6.86% or 0.60 points to trade at 8.15 at the close. Al-Ahlia Insurance Company (SE:8140) declined 4.88% or 0.30 points to end at 5.85 and The National Shipping Co. (SE:4030) was down 4.14% or 1.80 points to 41.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 100 to 41 and 27 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.72% or 0.27 to $37.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.98% or 0.39 to hit $39.45 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.27% or 15.60 to trade at $1239.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.46% to 4.2552, while USD/SAR rose 0.00% to 3.7502.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 94.62.
