Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Telecoms & IT and Building & Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Indian Company Insurance (SE:8110), which rose 9.78% or 1.35 points to trade at 15.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (SE:8180) added 8.68% or 2.30 points to end at 28.80 and BURUJ COOPERATIVE INSURANCE CO (SE:8270) was up 8.08% or 1.60 points to 21.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Riyad Bank (SE:1010), which fell 2.22% or 0.25 points to trade at 11.00 at the close. The Saudi Investment Bank (SE:1030) declined 1.76% or 0.25 points to end at 13.95 and Mouwasat Medical Services Company (SE:4002) was down 1.72% or 2.00 points to 114.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 127 to 27 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in The Saudi Investment Bank (SE:1030) fell to 5-year lows; losing 1.76% or 0.25 to 13.95.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 2.65% or 0.95 to $36.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.95% or 0.74 to hit $38.61 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.73% or 9.00 to trade at $1220.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.15% to 4.2624, while USD/SAR rose 0.03% to 3.7505.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.20% at 94.80.
