Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.77%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 1.05% or 0.0170 points to trade at 1.6370 at the close. Meanwhile, J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 0.03% or 0.0050 points to end at 15.4750 and Banco BPI (LS:BBPI) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.0000 points to 1.1300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which fell 5.19% or 0.0008 points to trade at 0.0146 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) declined 1.53% or 0.1110 points to end at 7.1400 and EDP (LS:EDP) was down 1.44% or 0.0430 points to 2.9470.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 35 to 10 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) fell to all time lows; falling 5.19% or 0.0008 to 0.0146. Shares in J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) rose to 3-years highs; up 0.03% or 0.0050 to 15.4750.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 3.25% or 1.55 to $46.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 3.52% or 1.63 to hit $44.69 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.20% or 2.65 to trade at $1342.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1231, while EUR/GBP rose 0.97% to 0.8657.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 95.36.
