Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Nos SGPS SA (LISBON:NOS), which rose 2.12% or 0.1350 points to trade at 6.5000 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae (LISBON:YSO) added 1.92% or 0.0235 points to end at 1.2475 and Banif SA (LISBON:BANIF) was up 1.49% or 0.0001 points to 0.0067 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Impresa SGPS (LISBON:IMPA), which fell 3.76% or 0.04 points to trade at 0.90 at the close. Teixeira Duarte (LISBON:TDSA) declined 3.37% or 0.0230 points to end at 0.6600 and Mota Engil (LISBON:MOTA) was down 1.93% or 0.0590 points to 2.9960.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 50 to 17 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.94% or 0.64 to $68.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.49% or 0.90 to hit $61.30 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.34% or 4.00 to trade at $1189.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.23% to 1.1323, while EUR/GBP rose 0.98% to 0.7438.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.96% at 94.35.
