Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.13% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 3.77% or 0.0012 points to trade at 0.0330 at the close. Meanwhile, Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) added 1.43% or 0.0450 points to end at 3.1810 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was up 0.58% or 0.040 points to 6.880 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS), which fell 2.85% or 0.1810 points to trade at 6.1790 at the close. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 1.75% or 0.0110 points to end at 0.6180 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was down 1.38% or 0.0250 points to 1.7850.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 24 to 23 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.51% or 0.25 to $49.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.84% or 0.40 to hit $48.12 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.26% or 3.30 to trade at $1277.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.1334, while EUR/GBP fell 0.41% to 0.7829.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 94.40.
