Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Nos SGPS SA (LISBON:NOS), which rose 1.77% or 0.1170 points to trade at 6.7370 at the close. Meanwhile, Portugal Telecom (LISBON:PTC) added 1.68% or 0.0085 points to end at 0.5135 and Teixeira Duarte (LISBON:TDSA) was up 1.59% or 0.0100 points to 0.6400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Impresa SGPS (LISBON:IMPA), which fell 1.19% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.83 at the close. Mota Engil (LISBON:MOTA) declined 0.93% or 0.0260 points to end at 2.7830 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LISBON:CTT) was down 0.79% or 0.0800 points to 10.0150.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 38 to 33 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 1.69% or 1.12 to $65.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.73% or 1.05 to hit $59.67 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.12% or 1.50 to trade at $1205.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.67% to 1.1038, while EUR/GBP rose 0.49% to 0.7130.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.66% at 96.10.
