Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.01% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banif SA (LISBON:BANIF), which rose 2.94% or 0.0002 points to trade at 0.0070 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco BPI (LISBON:BBPI) added 1.81% or 0.0240 points to end at 1.3510 and Impresa SGPS (LISBON:IMPA) was up 1.79% or 0.01 points to 0.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LISBON:MOTA), which fell 2.72% or 0.0645 points to trade at 2.3055 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (LISBON:NOS) declined 1.74% or 0.1160 points to end at 6.5340 and J. Martins SGPS (LISBON:JMT) was down 1.04% or 0.1250 points to 11.9350.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 40 to 26 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mota Engil (LISBON:MOTA) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.72% or 0.0645 to 2.3055.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 3.28% or 2.06 to $64.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 3.18% or 1.85 to hit $59.99 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.25% or 2.90 to trade at $1176.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.24% to 1.1265, while EUR/GBP fell 0.37% to 0.7332.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 95.25.
