Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Mining, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Construction & Building Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 1.06%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Jet Contractors (CS:JET), which rose 9.60% or 14.90 points to trade at 170.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) added 5.99% or 78 points to end at 1380 and Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM) was up 5.98% or 98 points to 1736 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SMI (CS:SMI), which fell 6.00% or 171 points to trade at 2679 at the close. Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL) declined 5.98% or 3.32 points to end at 52.14 and Lafarge Ciments (CS:LAC) was down 3.58% or 73 points to 1965.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 28 to 18 and 14 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.16% or 0.54 to $46.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.64% or 0.31 to hit $47.77 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.05% or 0.65 to trade at $1271.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.44% to 10.9200, while USD/MAD rose 0.64% to 9.6851.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.67% at 94.74.
