Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Chemicals and Invest Companies & Other Finance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Cartier Saada (CS:CRS), which rose 6.11% or 1.10 points to trade at 19.10 at the close. Meanwhile, CDM (CS:CDM) added 5.99% or 26 points to end at 461 and SMI (CS:SMI) was up 5.97% or 160 points to 2839 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which fell 5.50% or 2.97 points to trade at 51.03 at the close. Salafin (CS:SLF) declined 3.22% or 26 points to end at 771 and Residences Dar Saada SA (CS:RDS) was down 2.92% or 5.50 points to 182.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 18 to 15 and 8 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.99% or 0.48 to $47.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.17% or 0.57 to hit $48.15 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.30% or 3.75 to trade at $1249.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.06% to 10.9040, while USD/MAD fell 0.01% to 9.7290.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 95.32.
