Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Holding Companies, Construction & Building Materials and Food Producers & Processors sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were CTM (CS:CTM), which rose 6.36% or 35.00 points to trade at 585.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Med Paper (CS:PAP) added 6.18% or 1.21 points to end at 20.78 and Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) was up 4.73% or 56 points to 1239 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SMI (CS:SMI), which fell 5.93% or 158 points to trade at 2507 at the close. Delta Holding S.A (CS:DHO) declined 2.50% or 0.50 points to end at 19.50 and Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) was down 1.82% or 10 points to 540.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 16 to 16 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Med Paper (CS:PAP) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 6.18% or 1.21 to 20.78. Shares in Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) fell to 5-year lows; down 1.82% or 10 to 540.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.26% or 0.59 to $46.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.54% or 0.76 to hit $48.69 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.80% or 10.65 to trade at $1316.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.14% to 10.8820, while USD/MAD rose 0.21% to 9.7601.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.48% at 95.99.
