Morocco stocks lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.13%

Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Chemicals, Food Producers & Processors and Mining sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.13%.

The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which rose 5.82% or 7.40 points to trade at 134.40 at the close. Meanwhile, CTM (CS:CTM) added 4.93% or 20.00 points to end at 425.00 and Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) was up 4.04% or 34 points to 875 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which fell 5.99% or 5.75 points to trade at 90.24 at the close. Snep (CS:SNP) declined 5.74% or 7.35 points to end at 120.65 and Label Vie (CS:LBV) was down 4.00% or 50 points to 1200.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 21 to 17 and 3 ended unchanged.

Shares in Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) fell to 52-week lows; losing 5.99% or 5.75 to 90.24. Shares in CTM (CS:CTM) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 4.93% or 20.00 to 425.00. Shares in Snep (CS:SNP) fell to all time lows; falling 5.74% or 7.35 to 120.65. Shares in Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.04% or 34 to 875.

Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.49% or 0.88 to $58.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.08% or 0.69 to hit $62.62 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.33% or 3.90 to trade at $1172.00 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.25% to 10.8600, while USD/MAD fell 0.35% to 9.6657.

The US Dollar Index was down 0.78% at 95.63.
