Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Construction & Building Materials, Chemicals and Food Producers & Processors sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.70%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Cartier Saada (CS:CRS), which rose 5.67% or 1.02 points to trade at 19.02 at the close. Meanwhile, LafargeHolcim Maroc (CS:LHM) added 5.56% or 115 points to end at 2182 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was up 5.43% or 19 points to 369 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Managem (CS:MNG), which fell 9.99% or 86 points to trade at 776 at the close. Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) declined 5.99% or 42 points to end at 655 and Colorado (CS:COL) was down 3.85% or 2.00 points to 50.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 20 to 13 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 4.53% or 1.89 to $43.60 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 4.61% or 2.03 to hit $46.08 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.00% or 0.05 to trade at $1351.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.22% to 10.8860, while USD/MAD fell 0.03% to 9.7563.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 95.71.
