Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Holding Companies and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Involys (CS:INV), which rose 9.88% or 13.35 points to trade at 148.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) added 6.00% or 5.70 points to end at 95.00 and Residences Dar Saada SA (CS:RDS) was up 5.26% or 9.25 points to 185.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG), which fell 9.75% or 12.60 points to trade at 116.55 at the close. Centrale Laitiere (CS:LAIT) declined 6.00% or 60 points to end at 940 and Ennakl (CS:NAKL) was down 5.58% or 2.29 points to 38.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 17 to 15 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG) fell to all time lows; losing 9.75% or 12.60 to 116.55. Shares in Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) rose to 52-week lows; rising 6.00% or 5.70 to 95.00. Shares in Centrale Laitiere (CS:LAIT) fell to 5-year lows; falling 6.00% or 60 to 940.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.97% or 0.56 to $56.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $62.08 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.08% or 0.90 to trade at $1187.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.08% to 10.7440, while USD/MAD rose 0.09% to 9.8534.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 97.45.
