Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Forestry & Paper, Chemicals and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Alliances (CS:ADI), which rose 3.12% or 2 points to trade at 65 at the close. Meanwhile, Salafin (CS:SLF) added 2.34% or 18 points to end at 784 and Snep (CS:SNP) was up 2.26% or 1.99 points to 89.99 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lydec (CS:LYD), which fell 5.98% or 30.80 points to trade at 484.00 at the close. Eqdom (CS:EQDM) declined 5.94% or 66 points to end at 1045 and SMI (CS:SMI) was down 5.64% or 166 points to 2775.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 23 to 20 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.40% or 0.20 to $49.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.58% or 0.29 to hit $49.30 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.59% or 7.20 to trade at $1213.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.35% to 10.8610, while USD/MAD rose 0.31% to 9.7510.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.38% at 95.50.
