Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financial Services, Consumer Goods & Services and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC gained 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO), which rose 4.17% or 3.790 points to trade at 94.630 at the close. Meanwhile, Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX) added 3.03% or 0.610 points to end at 20.740 and Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA) was up 2.89% or 0.870 points to 30.970 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB), which fell 2.71% or 0.95 points to trade at 34.10 at the close. Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) declined 1.99% or 7.250 points to end at 356.760 and Gruma, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GRUMAB) was down 1.74% or 3.510 points to 198.090.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 98 to 57 and 6 ended unchanged.

Gold for August delivery was down 0.02% or 0.20 to $1159.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $52.70 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 2.63% or 1.50 to trade at $58.54 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.28% to 15.8066, while EUR/MXN fell 0.69% to 17.4355.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.30% at 96.67.
