Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Communication and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which rose 1.60% or 320 points to trade at 20350 at the close. Meanwhile, Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) added 1.09% or 410 points to end at 37860 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) was up 0.77% or 38 points to 4960 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which fell 3.03% or 111 points to trade at 3550 at the close. Avner L (TA:AVNRp) declined 1.53% or 4.0 points to end at 258.0 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was down 1.32% or 780 points to 58530.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 173 to 171 and 100 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.26% or 0.62 to $49.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.36% or 0.68 to hit $50.66 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.17% or 2.15 to trade at $1268.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.06% to 3.8476, while EUR/ILS rose 0.17% to 4.2015.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 98.73.
