Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Real Estate, Insurance and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Discount (TA:DSCT), which rose 2.92% or 20.8 points to trade at 732.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Frutarom (TA:FRUT) added 2.33% or 370 points to end at 16250 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) was up 2.10% or 100 points to 4869 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 2.58% or 156 points to trade at 5888 at the close. Melisron (TA:MLSR) declined 2.13% or 310 points to end at 14230 and Osem (TA:OSEM) was down 1.91% or 159 points to 8180.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 175 to 168 and 111 ended unchanged.
Shares in Discount (TA:DSCT) rose to 3-years highs; up 2.92% or 20.8 to 732.8. Shares in Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) rose to all time highs; rising 2.10% or 100 to 4869.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.83% or 0.50 to $59.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.18% or 0.74 to hit $62.27 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.42% or 17.10 to trade at $1184.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 1.21% to 3.7816, while EUR/ILS fell 0.81% to 4.3102.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 94.16.
