Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 1.03%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which rose 3.28% or 2020 points to trade at 63660 at the close. Meanwhile, OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 3.02% or 122 points to end at 4161 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) was up 2.91% or 46 points to 1625 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delek Group (TA:DLEKG), which fell 1.02% or 640 points to trade at 62030 at the close. Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) declined 0.96% or 0.6 points to end at 61.7 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was down 0.93% or 450 points to 48080.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 209 to 130 and 113 ended unchanged.
Shares in Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) fell to 52-week lows; falling 0.96% or 0.6 to 61.7.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.88% or 0.35 to $40.07 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.29% or 0.54 to hit $42.48 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.29% or 16.00 to trade at $1259.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.29% to 3.7648, while EUR/ILS rose 0.12% to 4.3079.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.49% at 93.76.
