Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Biomed, Communication and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 2.50% or 97 points to trade at 3980 at the close. Meanwhile, Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) added 2.30% or 19.0 points to end at 845.0 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was up 1.77% or 1130 points to 65000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which fell 2.97% or 105 points to trade at 3425 at the close. Frutarom (TA:FRUT) declined 2.51% or 490 points to end at 19040 and Strauss Group (TA:STRS) was down 2.20% or 124 points to 5516.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 191 to 151 and 110 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.24% or 0.09 to $36.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.62% or 0.24 to hit $38.43 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.30% or 3.70 to trade at $1219.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.12% to 3.7818, while EUR/ILS rose 0.02% to 4.3040.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 94.58.
