Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Biomed sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 1.20% or 46 points to trade at 3885 at the close. Meanwhile, Melisron (TA:MLSR) added 0.95% or 150 points to end at 16000 and First International Bank of Israel (TA:FTIN) was up 0.85% or 40 points to 4756 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which fell 1.09% or 720 points to trade at 65300 at the close. Strauss Group (TA:STRS) declined 0.99% or 60 points to end at 6016 and Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) was down 0.91% or 150 points to 16380.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 202 to 146 and 99 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.99% or 0.87 to $44.49 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.94% or 0.89 to hit $46.66 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.48% or 6.25 to trade at $1316.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.07% to 3.7738, while EUR/ILS rose 0.13% to 4.2207.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.38% at 95.69.
