Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Telecoms and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.98%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS), which rose 1.72% or 0.66 points to trade at 38.99 at the close. Meanwhile, UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) added 0.43% or 0.07 points to end at 16.44 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 0.31% or 0.010 points to 3.282 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which fell 5.88% or 1.90 points to trade at 30.40 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 1.94% or 0.72 points to end at 36.30 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was down 1.87% or 0.155 points to 8.130.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 132 to 44 and 12 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.38% or 0.17 to $44.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.34% or 0.15 to hit $43.80 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.86% or 11.05 to trade at $1280.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1489, while EUR/GBP rose 0.25% to 0.7930.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 93.28.
