Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which rose 1.37% or 0.44 points to trade at 32.64 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 0.84% or 0.032 points to end at 3.842 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 0.75% or 0.11 points to 14.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which fell 2.56% or 0.99 points to trade at 37.70 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 2.05% or 0.115 points to end at 5.490 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was down 1.67% or 0.076 points to 4.466.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 108 to 76 and 15 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.15% or 0.07 to $46.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.13% or 0.06 to hit $45.87 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.22% or 2.65 to trade at $1227.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.0707, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.8597.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 100.26.
