Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 5.04% or 0.2400 points to trade at 5.0000 at the close. Meanwhile, Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) added 3.62% or 0.95 points to end at 27.22 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was up 2.60% or 0.17 points to 6.91 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 8.54% or 0.420 points to trade at 4.500 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) declined 3.38% or 0.91 points to end at 26.00 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was down 1.72% or 0.57 points to 32.58.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 100 to 74 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) rose to 52-week highs; rising 5.04% or 0.2400 to 5.0000. Shares in YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.60% or 0.17 to 6.91.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 2.28% or 1.03 to $44.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.07% or 0.89 to hit $42.03 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.37% or 4.95 to trade at $1333.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.0993, while EUR/GBP rose 0.13% to 0.8382.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 97.31.
