Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V), which rose 4.56% or 0.30 points to trade at 6.88 at the close. Meanwhile, UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HEL:UPM1V) added 1.98% or 0.32 points to end at 16.47 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HEL:STERV) was up 1.16% or 0.110 points to 9.610 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which fell 2.22% or 0.1130 points to trade at 4.9820 at the close. Metso Oyj (HEL:MEO1V) declined 2.16% or 0.57 points to end at 25.82 and Fortum Oyj (HEL:FUM1V) was down 1.89% or 0.32 points to 16.57.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 99 to 73 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.73% or 0.47 to $63.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.91% or 0.55 to hit $59.72 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1172.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1198, while EUR/GBP fell 0.18% to 0.7120.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 95.43.
