Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 3.40%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which rose 13.58% or 0.2980 points to trade at 2.4920 at the close. Meanwhile, Metso Oyj (HEL:MEO1V) added 7.91% or 1.52 points to end at 20.73 and Cargotec Oyj (HEL:CGCBV) was up 6.55% or 1.63 points to 26.51 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tieto Oyj (HEL:TIE1V), which rose 0.40% or 0.09 points to trade at 22.70 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HEL:AMEAS) added 1.15% or 0.26 points to end at 22.87 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HEL:HUH1V) was up 1.46% or 0.40 points to 27.81.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 145 to 31 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 2.90% or 1.40 to $49.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.42% or 1.10 to hit $46.64 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.24% or 2.70 to trade at $1133.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.1183, while EUR/GBP rose 0.01% to 0.7384.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.21% at 96.25.
