Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.74%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V), which rose 6.82% or 0.34 points to trade at 5.41 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HEL:NRE1V) added 4.76% or 1.20 points to end at 26.39 and Valmt (HEL:VALMT) was up 4.06% or 0.36 points to 9.22 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which fell 1.52% or 0.0540 points to trade at 3.5020 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HEL:HUH1V) declined 0.71% or 0.20 points to end at 27.80 and Amer Sports Corporation (HEL:AMEAS) was down 0.67% or 0.16 points to 23.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 121 to 48 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 3.87% or 1.84 to $49.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.24% or 0.11 to hit $45.94 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.24% or 2.70 to trade at $1124.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.05% to 1.1176, while EUR/GBP fell 0.56% to 0.7270.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 96.03.
