Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.72%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V), which rose 5.05% or 0.34 points to trade at 6.97 at the close. Meanwhile, Amer Sports Corporation (HEL:AMEAS) added 3.68% or 0.89 points to end at 25.08 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HEL:NDA1V) was up 2.35% or 0.270 points to 11.740 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stora Enso Oyj R (HEL:STERV), which rose 0.76% or 0.070 points to trade at 9.270 at the close. Kemira Oyj (HEL:KRA1V) added 0.78% or 0.08 points to end at 10.29 and Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) was up 1.05% or 0.0420 points to 4.0240.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 145 to 29 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Amer Sports Corporation (HEL:AMEAS) rose to all time highs; up 3.68% or 0.89 to 25.08.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.20% or 0.12 to $58.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.15% or 0.08 to hit $52.82 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.20% or 2.30 to trade at $1155.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 1.15% to 1.1030, while EUR/GBP fell 1.10% to 0.7110.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.86% at 96.78.
