Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.38%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 5.39% or 0.3250 points to trade at 6.3500 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 3.42% or 0.132 points to end at 3.990 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 2.78% or 0.66 points to 24.43 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V), which fell 1.75% or 0.42 points to trade at 23.61 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 0.29% or 0.10 points to end at 34.36 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was down 0.06% or 0.002 points to 3.516.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 139 to 44 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) fell to 5-year lows; losing 0.06% or 0.002 to 3.516.
Brent oil for January delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $45.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.54% or 0.24 to hit $44.31 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.85% or 24.15 to trade at $1280.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.95% to 1.1034, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.8908.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.94% at 97.85.
