Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HEL:NRE1V), which rose 3.05% or 0.72 points to trade at 24.36 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HEL:ORNBV) added 1.55% or 0.54 points to end at 35.38 and Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE) was up 1.50% or 0.33 points to 22.37 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elisa Oyj (HEL:ELI1V), which fell 2.04% or 0.59 points to trade at 28.34 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V) declined 1.22% or 0.060 points to end at 4.874 and Valmt (HEL:VALMT) was down 1.16% or 0.10 points to 8.93.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 95 to 78 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 2.67% or 1.32 to $48.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.77% or 1.71 to hit $43.70 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.42% or 4.80 to trade at $1135.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.62% to 1.1246, while EUR/GBP fell 0.62% to 0.7348.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.43% at 95.80.
