Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 4.27% or 0.192 points to trade at 4.684 at the close. Meanwhile, Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 3.36% or 0.185 points to end at 5.685 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was up 2.89% or 0.68 points to 24.23 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V), which fell 0.95% or 0.13 points to trade at 13.53 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 0.89% or 0.0650 points to end at 7.2000 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was down 0.56% or 0.22 points to 39.41.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 108 to 66 and 23 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.11% or 0.05 to $46.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.15% or 0.07 to hit $45.35 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.72% or 8.75 to trade at $1208.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.32% to 1.0590, while EUR/GBP rose 0.41% to 0.8592.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.36% at 101.36.
