Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 2.01% or 0.1450 points to trade at 7.3450 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 1.24% or 0.058 points to end at 4.742 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 1.14% or 0.42 points to 37.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which fell 0.72% or 0.028 points to trade at 3.882 at the close. Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) declined 0.56% or 0.020 points to end at 3.534 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was down 0.42% or 0.06 points to 14.15.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 88 to 84 and 25 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.01% or 0.1450 to 7.3450.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 4.48% or 2.10 to $48.96 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 4.31% or 2.00 to hit $48.36 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.44% or 5.35 to trade at $1214.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.18% to 1.0608, while EUR/GBP fell 1.11% to 0.8497.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.32% at 101.09.
