Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 2.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 5.110 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 1.78% or 0.11 points to end at 6.28 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 1.71% or 0.140 points to 8.345 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 2.12% or 0.088 points to trade at 4.064 at the close. Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) declined 1.42% or 0.56 points to end at 38.78 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was down 1.11% or 0.43 points to 38.22.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 102 to 72 and 22 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 1.90% or 0.95 to $49.01 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.99% or 1.44 to hit $46.66 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.15% or 15.45 to trade at $1330.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.42% to 1.1259, while EUR/GBP fell 0.68% to 0.8507.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.29% at 94.77.
