Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 1.67% or 0.085 points to trade at 5.175 at the close. Meanwhile, Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 1.56% or 0.41 points to end at 26.76 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS) was up 0.80% or 0.30 points to 37.87 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which fell 0.96% or 0.040 points to trade at 4.128 at the close. Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) declined 0.91% or 0.37 points to end at 40.47 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was down 0.30% or 0.025 points to 8.300.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 102 to 70 and 24 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 2.38% or 1.12 to $48.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 2.38% or 1.06 to hit $45.55 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.31% or 4.15 to trade at $1347.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.29% to 1.1193, while EUR/GBP rose 0.57% to 0.8693.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 95.53.
