Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V), which rose 2.34% or 0.38 points to trade at 16.63 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 2.28% or 0.68 points to end at 30.50 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 2.22% or 0.23 points to 10.57 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 7.75% or 2.25 points to trade at 26.78 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 4.27% or 0.154 points to end at 3.450 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) was down 2.88% or 0.60 points to 20.25.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 97 to 77 and 16 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.51% or 0.69 to $46.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.36% or 0.60 to hit $44.64 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.64% or 7.95 to trade at $1251.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.24% to 1.1324, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.7780.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 94.36.
