The company was formerly known as PMC-Sierra Inc. and changed its name to Microsemi Storage Solutions, Inc. in January 2016. The company was founded in 1983 and is headquartered in Sunnyvale, California. Microsemi Storage Solutions, Inc. operates as a subsidiary of Microchip Technology Incorporated.
