Bairaha Farms PLC, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the poultry farming, chicken processing, and manufacturing pre-cooked meats in Sri Lanka. It breeds poultry; and operates hatcheries for the production and sale of parent and commercial broiler day-old chicks, as well as operates various out-grower and broiler farms. The company also processes, distributes, and sells packeted whole broiler chicken and broiler chicken portions; manufactures, distributes, and sells pre-cooked meats, such as chicken sausages, chicken meat balls, chicken sandwich slices, and marinated chicken; and markets and sells other products for poultry farming. In addition, it manufactures feed products for poultry and other species of animals; and imports and distributes disinfectants. Further, the company is involved in the purchase and lease of agricultural lands; provision of essential Elisa and bacteriological laboratory services to the poultry industry; and production of nutraceutical products. It serves retail, institutional, and other customers. The company was formerly known as M.I.M. Naleem Hajiar & Co. Ltd. Bairaha Farms PLC was incorporated in 1975 and is based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
