Does anyone think the SARB is going to change the Prime rate and Interest rate today ? I think yes because lately banks have been very active for some reason so they know that change is coming plus the large amount of public debt is a great consign as well. Markets are showing that Rand strength already. South Africa is in dire need of strenuous I would say.

Can anyone help with the information that caused this week's movement of the Rand, I had an exam so didn't get time to check, I just know Zuma had something to do with it like most of the time

Zuma is the worlds greatest leader and can make or break any currency as he chooses. All hail to Jacob Zuma...he is a half god, half man.

Hahaha well this so called god is losing me money if he caused the Rand strength this week the JSE All Share is down about 1.2% and am losing my gains from last week can you thank him for me

Rand is appreciating because the AB inbev takeover of SAB is going through (according to bloomberg) . Acquiring company shares in a country requires the purchasing company to buy ZAR, thus yielding a temporary shortage in ZAR currency... . I reckon once this takeover is done of Billions of dollars the Rand will continue it slippery path of depreciation
