Euro shows unusual resilience although the economic realities do not favour an upside movement. Perhaps, Germany or ECB is supporting the market before announcing a further cut in interest rate as early as next month. Mind you the EU economy is still not out of the wood yet. Still deeply in troubled waters more like it.

House prices and consumer confidence statistics in the US are highly questionable. What are the economic fundamentals that could substantiate the statistics released? Investors should beware of another economic bubble due to unsubstantiated good news released by the authority. I believe the whole purpose is to justify the upcoming spending cut to be implemented by the Obama government. For sure, the US economy will shrink in 2013 and 2014 due to the substantial spending cut in order to reduce the country's current deficit.

WITH UNCERTAINTY IN EUROPE & USA, COMPARATIVELY SPEAKING AUSTRALIA IS VERY SAFE AND STILL BUILDING TRADE WITH ASIA - THAT CANT/WONT STOP- DUE TO (FOR EXAMPLE CHINA'S POPULATION GROWTH. WHICH IS ALWAYS AN UNDERWRITING 4%). Australasia EXPORTS COMMODITIES WHICH ASIA CANT TURN OFF IF THERE ECONOMY SUFFERS - AS THE STILL NEED POWER AND BASIC ENERGY ESSENTIALS. Aust $ devaluation against euro is only temp whilst there is knee***** (knock on) reaction to US treasury announcements of policy change last week - then it will surge again. back to the higher level of last few months.

By end of today, predict Euro will drop around 1% against AUD. The sliding trend will continue this week. The resistance point will be at 1.315.
