Investing.com – United Arab Emirates stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Banking and Real Estate & Construction sectors led shares higher while losses in the Consumer Staples, Services and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Dubai, the DFM General lost 0.06%, while the ADX General index gained 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the DFM General were Drake & Scull International PJSC (DU:DSI), which rose 4.09% or 0.021 points to trade at 0.535 at the close. Meanwhile, Dubai Investments PJSC (DU:DINV) added 0.47% or 0.010 points to end at 2.150 and Takaful House (DU:DTKF) was up 0.40% or 0.004 points to 0.997 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SHUAA Capital PSC (DU:SHUA), which fell 5.51% or 0.044 points to trade at 0.755 at the close. Gulf General Investments Company (DU:GGIC) declined 2.29% or 0.013 points to end at 0.555 and Dubai Parks and Resorts PJSC (DU:DUBA) was down 1.76% or 0.030 points to 1.670.
The top performers on the ADX General were Abu Dhabi National for Building Materials Co PJSC (AD:BILD) which rose 10.64% to 0.520, Finance House (AD:FH) which was up 2.78% to settle at 1.850 and Arkan Building Materials Co PJSC (AD:ARKN) which gained 1.23% to close at 0.8200.
The worst performers were Methaq (AD:METH) which was down 2.25% to 0.870 in late trade, Rak Properties (AD:RPRO) which lost 1.64% to settle at 0.600 and Eshraq Properties Co PJSC (AD:ESHR) which was down 1.23% to 0.8000 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Dubai Stock Exchange by 18 to 8 and 9 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, 11 fell and 9 advanced, while 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.08% or 0.48 to $44.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.59% or 0.28 to hit $47.35 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.71% or 9.45 to trade at $1336.15 a troy ounce.
USD/AED was up 0.00% to 3.6731, while EUR/AED rose 0.21% to 4.1025.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 95.61.
