Investing.com – United Arab Emirates stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Services, Real Estate & Construction and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Dubai, the DFM General rose 1.11%, while the ADX General index added 0.92%.
The best performers of the session on the DFM General were Arabtec Holding PJSC (DU:ARTC), which rose 3.54% or 0.090 points to trade at 2.630 at the close. Meanwhile, Dubai Financial Market PJSC (DU:DFM) added 3.13% or 0.060 points to end at 1.980 and Amanat Holdings PJSC (DU:AMANT) was up 2.97% or 0.026 points to 0.900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were National Cement Company P.S.C. (DU:NCC), which fell 9.78% or 0.440 points to trade at 4.060 at the close. Takaful House (DU:DTKF) declined 2.79% or 0.017 points to end at 0.593 and SHUAA Capital PSC (DU:SHUA) was down 2.10% or 0.013 points to 0.606.
The top performers on the ADX General were Ad Natl Energy (AD:TAQA) which rose 9.38% to 0.700, Natl Co Bldg M (AD:BILD) which was up 3.33% to settle at 0.600 and Natl Bk Of Ad (AD:NBAD) which gained 3.29% to close at 11.00.
The worst performers were Rak Cmt & Cons (AD:RAKC) which was down 9.93% to 1.36 in late trade, Ad Shipbldg Co (AD:ADSB) which lost 8.75% to settle at 2.40 and Em Driving Co (AD:DRIV) which was down 8.33% to 5.50 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Dubai Stock Exchange by 19 to 8 and 1 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, 12 fell and 12 advanced, while 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Natl Co Bldg M (AD:BILD) rose to 52-week lows; gaining 3.33% or 0.020 to 0.600.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.50% or 0.29 to $58.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.07% or 0.67 to hit $62.67 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.54% or 6.40 to trade at $1172.60 a troy ounce.
USD/AED was down 0.00% to 3.6729, while EUR/AED fell 0.48% to 4.1076.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 95.42.
